Snow, I love you darling, but please please never ever say that again about your daughter, in her presence. I know you didn’t mean that you were dissatisfied with her, or that you don’t want her in any way, but think about what you are saying. Emma’s very first family, the first people she ever loved as a child probably said the exact same thing about her.
She was a foster child, and they settled for her. She “wasn’t exactly what they wanted” but she was good enough. And then they had their own child and suddenly they had what they wanted. They didn’t need Emma anymore.
I know your daughter is an adult but please don’t forget that she’s a child beneath that exterior. And I swear to god if you have another child without asking Emma how she’d feel, and without trying to fix your relationship with her first I will reach through that television screen and bitch slap you so hard you’ll feel it all the way back in the pilot episode.
